The print media covered our initiatives in their website journal
We are thrilled to share that our ongoing work at Yamuna Khimtsang has been featured in the media, highlighting our efforts to protect Delhi’s street animals from the harsh effects of extreme heat. As temperatures soar, animals face life-threatening challenges, and our dedicated team has stepped up to address these pressing issues.
The feature underscores the crucial role we are playing in the New Aruna Nagar area, where we have placed 150 large concrete water bowls to ensure that stray dogs and other animals have access to clean drinking water throughout the day. This initiative is vital in preventing heatstroke and dehydration, which have become all too common due to the intense heatwaves.
Our feeding program, where our volunteers provide meals of rice and curd to 120 street dogs, is a lifeline for these animals. In addition to food and water, we collaborate closely with local residents, including children from adjacent JJ colonies, to maintain and refill the water bowls, ensuring sustainability.
Thank you to everyone supporting our cause and helping us make a tangible difference for Delhi’s animals. Special thanks to Mrs Monami Gogoi for covering our initiative.Stay connected with us for more updates on our initiatives and how you can get involved!
“At Yamuna Khimtsang, we believe that even the smallest efforts, like placing water dishes or providing shade, can make a significant difference. By working with the community, we aim to create a safe and supportive environment for all animals in these trying times. We remain committed to expanding our resources, such as coolers and other cooling mechanisms, to help more animals cope with the rising temperatures.” – **Yamuna Khimtsang Team**
